What is Direct Marketing?
Direct marketing is direct communication to a consumer or business recipient that is designed to generate a response. The response can be anything from an instant purchase, registration, request for more information, or visit to a brick-and-mortar or online store for purchase of a something specific. Driving someone to take action is the goal. Direct Marketing magazine define it as: "an interactive system of marketing that uses one or more advertising media to affect a measurable response and/or transaction at any location, with this activity stored on a database."
This provides you with the knowledge to know your customers better, which in turn allows you to market only the items you know this person is more likely to buy and save time and money that was to be spend on advertising.
You know how different people respond to different products and different approaches so for you this means you will learn constantly how to approach people better and which people to approach.
